I would recommend that they contact the other cities in the US and ask
them to join the meeting--perhaps by phone.  (someone else posted some)
If you can get input from a person in a similar situation it would keep
things 'real'.

We tend to push the ideas of FLOSS without the experience that tells
people what problems they are going to have.  All platforms have
problems.  You pick your problems when you pick your platform.
