That was problematic for me in a similar situation because I tried to use newer kernels that matched the patches I could download. That didn't work so well because of the change to libata in the latest kernels. I did compile the latest patch against the stock kernel headers and that is what is running now (9.4.2 on centos 5 i think). I replaced the driver in /lib/modules with mine. I was not booting from the array. My boot drives are software RAID because it just works until a drive fails. then it works when I make it work. - -- JT Morée PC Xperience, Inc. -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v1.4.6 (GNU/Linux) Comment: Using GnuPG with Mozilla - http://enigmail.mozdev.org iD8DBQFG9pdb1JwGi/ukQqERAgodAJ45UuyHO6wtiNu6Mg4I7iwCLp3E1ACfck9G S6sPBUE1kA/fHqwfhB7j6Nw= =PPKf -----END PGP SIGNATURE----- -- This message has been scanned for viruses and dangerous content by MailScanner, and is believed to be clean.
