Learn more." ---- facebook is getting hammered for lack of privacy issues so they are attempting to give a user control over what is and what isn't available for everyone who is NOT a friend. It's a good start but yes, it obviously has its side effects as you have noticed. Of course, you could turn off the privacy features...
