In order to refresh GRUB2 (and I believe nobody is still using 'old' GRUB) 
you can: 

boot with a live CD.
mount your new partition to /mnt
then:
mount --bind /dev /mnt/dev
chroot /mnt
grub-install
exit
reboot.
Pray...   :)
