There can be all sorts of things that can make a machine not work. Recently this beast died. It just went off like it would if the plug had been pulled. I unplugged it and plugged it back in. The fan started and it beeped then all went quiet again. I checked the power supply. It was fine. There wasn't enough dust on anything to cause any problems from overheating. After 3 or 4 hours of checking everything else, I found out what the problem was. The power switch was stuck closed. The case has a reset button which I wasn't using. So I swapped it for the power switch. There are two buttons on the front of the case. I just push the other one now. This proved to me that you should never overlook anything when dealing with a dead machine.
