I purchased Red Hat Professional Workstation at Fry's.
On the box it list the Kernel as 2.4.21 and Samba 3.0 but no where does
it list the Red Hat Version. I have been looking for a way to find this
out using the shell and I cannot find a command that will give me the
Red Hat version.
I have tried to reboot my computer several times and my eyes must to old
and slow to catch the version.
Does anyone know a way for finding the version on Red Hat.

You should be able to type uname -a in the command line and have it display version and computer name but that might be the kernel version #  I dont remember....
