We have 2 topics for this months: Topic: Good Password Verification Abstract: A customer's perspective on password verification. Just because the cloud claims your data is encrypted and password protected doesn't mean it really is. Companies should publicly disclose their password encryption schemes to encourage auditing and customer trust. The discussion will cover why password verification should be quick to human perception, but take effort from the computer's perspective. It will also cover better encryption for SSH private keys as a specific case. Bio: der.hans is the Chairman of PLUG ( Phoenix Linux User Group ) and founder of the Free Software Stammtisch.
