Correct me if I'm incorrect but; 1 - There are plenty of VNC clients running on windows. 2 - while you may want to disable some of the graphics goodies, yes this makes no difference. 3 - ok 4 - VNC supports encryption IMO 5 - VNC doesn't support file transfer. 6 - vnc handles auth on its own.
