Position Background

 

We are looking for Senior Weblogic Administrators with hands on Enterprise experience.  These Weblogic Administrators will be primarily responsible for 1) installing/building, 2) supporting/configuring, 3) troubleshooting, 4) tuning, 5) training, 6) automating, and 7) deploying code to Weblogic version 8.1 on Linux 2.4.   They will work as liaisons between the application development staff and the technical support teams to provide architecture support, training, performance tuning, standards, production control, tools, and application server administration.  They will assist in monitoring, identifying, and resolving technical issues in both production and non-production environments.  They will form the core of a Weblogic center of excellence team.

 

Qualifications

 

The successful candidate MUST have demonstrable experience with:

 

1.  Enterprise Administration of Weblogic Clusters on a Unix platform

2.  Unix and/or Linux System Administration Experience

3.  Shell Programming Experience; Perl Programming a Plus

4.  Troubleshooting advanced complex systems under pressure in operational settings

5.  Providing timely and accurate on-call support for production infrastructure components

 

The successful candidate MUST have or be able to:

 

1.  Leadership and communication skills to work with multiple support and application teams

2.  A willingness to accept responsibility, take initiative, use good judgment, and maintain a positive attitude

3.  Act decisively and promptly while maintaining a high level of accuracy

4.  Automate the administration of the application run-time environment where possible

5.  Provide training or mentoring to large groups on tools or architecture concepts concerning Weblogic

 

Details

 

The initial contract will be six months in duration.
