Capital A - that will take you past the last character in the line, and put you in Insert mode.
I'm not used to working with either of these programs, but the same
problem occurs in both. I use vim in windows and vi in linux. I
generally understand the escape mode and the interactive mode. And I
can save and quit programs. But I'm having trouble with the cursor.
Say I have the following lines:
Testing, testing, testing.
And I go back to the beginning of the line, make a change to it and
come back to the end of the line. The cursor is then stuck on the
period after testing, or whatever the last character is. How do I move
past that last character, tried arrow keys, but they don't seem to
work.
