Don't forget, we have some of the best skydiving, ultra
light, and ballooning conditions here and quite a few companies that offer
tourist packages for each. Not to mention the treasure hunting: gold, silver,
fossils, meteorites, fire agate, turquoise, etc. Oh and you got Lowell's
observatory (Discovered Pluto you know) meteor creator, the painted desert,
monument valley, the petrified forest, dinosaur tracks, all the Navajo, Hopi,
and Apache dances. The mission tours are really cool too.... And with
something like a dozen black runs, a dozen blue runs, and two dozen green runs
Sunrise offers some great skiing in the winter. As far as metro phoenix goes, we
have an outstanding zoo, an OK wild animal park, several outstanding
museums, and active music scene, several major play/opera/symphony houses.
You can see lots of imported culture, from Al Capone mahogany bar to the London
bridge here in town. And, if it is your thing, we have several of the west costs
best resort and spas.
The question is, what are you into?
Art, music, history, cultural experiences, adventure, what?
Do you like the out doors? We have mountains, valleys, low desert, high plains,
sun, snow, rivers, lakes, some great star gazing, some great rock climbing, some
decent spelunking, nice fishing, a wide variety of hunting environments.
Oh, and we have the best pizza place in the US is here in
phoenix. http://www.pizzeriabianco.com/
(Of course they use NY water, but that is a different
story)

better selection of low end amusement (why does roller derby suck so bad here?)
