Their may be a way to modify their environment to make it run in a users non-privileged space for USB devices, since in theory thier is no reason you have to be admin on a windows box. (You can map user level hardware drivers as a non-privledged user, it is one of thier many security flaws, but you have to modify their projcet so it stays clear of system hardware and only interacts with user hardware, like the USB key)<br>

If it is for only few M$ machines, there are ext3 drivers for windoze.<br>
Else, you are pretty much stuck with NTFS/FAT.<br>

Like ext2ifs ltools has read-write perms. Most of the other tools I found<br>
seem to be read-only. I&#39;m not sure if ltools uses a kernel module. I don&#39;t<br>
see mention of one. That gives me hope that it can be used directly from<br>
the USB drive without being installed. It worries me about performance,<br>
but I&#39;m not too worried about that for now.<div class="im"><br>
