Their are FS drivers for most common Linux file system that allow you to use those fs's on windows. But you have to be admin to install them. I believe you need to be an admin to install the virtual box player as well don't you?

Make it bootable with your favorite GNU/Linux distro on it!

Having a VirtualBox VM that runs and makes samba available might be what
we need to do. That would use lots of space and resources, though :(.
We need WINE for windows or ndiswrapper for windows where they can just
