Mike, I have two Linksys wireless g pci cards running with ubuntu, I don't have he model # without opening the towers which are not easy to get at but the cards were very common a few years ago and are listed by lshw as
/0/100/1e/a wlan0 network RT2561/RT61 802.11g PCI
What Kevin says is good and system76.com uses Intel wifi cards. Now sure about USB options I use Linksys PCI or PCIe in desktop rigs and it works.Brian

I go to the Internet and there are many many cards that indicate they will work with ubuntu but not for me.
If you are running a wireless rig with ubuntu would you please share the name and model of your wireless card.
This computer I am building has to work wirelessly or my alternative is "something 7" which I do not want to spend good money on.
I really appreciate any information on what you are using.
Thanks
Mike Enriquez
