I used to have to have a keep-alive script going all the time with Qworst because the modem would go offline due to inactivity. A cron script that does
* * * * * ping -c 5 google.com >> /dev/null
every minute is enough to keep your internet connection from going inactive.
As a side effect I got emails queued up from time dns/network went down to when it comes back up to document outages.

i think its partly intentional to clear servers that are not paying
for it. 6/month for a single static ip however i find kinda ridiculous
in price.
but depending on the interval doing a 1 month trial to see if it is
related might be an option.

A mouse trap, placed on top of your alarm clock, will prevent you from
rolling over and going back to sleep after you hit the snooze button.
