Basically, PDFEscape is a really good online tool for PDF editing. And I bought PDF-XChange Viewer (arond $35) for signatures, etc. PDF-XChange Viewer in free mode works great too as an Acrobat Reader replacement (lighter and faster), so the download is worhtwhile in any case.

Mike,
I use Scribus for this process. It is a little tricky, but works well.
You can't open a PDF with Scribus, you have to start a new document and create a graphics frame, then import the pdf file into that graphics frame. You can then add text boxes and type your text, and then export as a new pdf. Once you get the hang of it, it goes pretty fast. If you have a multi-page pdf, I think you have to convert it to separate pdf files - a one liner with ghostscript.
Please let me know if you find a better way!

I frequently get forms I need to fill out in PDFs. I hat printing them to fill them out and then needing to scan to email the form to the person that needs the said form. Is there like a program or website I can open a pdf in that will allow me to fill it out on my computer?
