gnome-mplayer seems to be the best. Everything plays and even sounds but the video is slow and the half way through the audio gets choppy. also, how do you deinterlace it?<br clear="all"><div>:-)~MIKE~(-:</div>

nope,,, that wasn&#39;t related to my problem. I can import the file fine. The problem is that none of the movie players I have (vls, gnome movie player, and totem) seem to recognize the file type. Unless of course I did it wrong? I right click on the file-&gt; open with -&gt; (select program)<br clear="all">

I got a new camera. The movie file format is CPI. I double clicked it and the movie wouldn&#39;t run. (bummer)  My first inclination was to run screaming to you then I figured I would search for it. The information I got was to use xnview but after I d/l it I discover that xnview is a file manager. Any ideas what I can use to open it?<br clear="all">
