doesn't matter if upstream accepts it..... it is for him and he can start sharing what was don. If it isn't accepted by upstream maybe it will be like rpm. I learned that was supposed to be the standard but most people use deb.

True, he could add the nohup features to gwenview. Dunno if he could get
it accepted upstream. In any case, he can add it to gwenview by putting
gwenview in a wrapper, which is what he appears to be trying to do :).
