I got one pretty much solely to run RiscOS because, compared to other “cool retro platforms”, it’s affordable.  A decent used Amiga or Atari ST outfit will set you back way more than a RPi.

Yes, I have three running right now.  One is interfacing into a arduino collecting temp data from each of my rooms in my house.
