OMG, no! It is NOT easier to manually print, fill out and scan back in! Also, the environmental impact of all this printing and marking up, re scanning and printing needs to be considered.

As someone with a tree tatoo'd on my left ring finger, I completely appreciate any PDF munging that saves the resources of our beautiful planet.

Far from ideal, but good for some things in a pinch.

You can also load PDFs visually perfect into the GIMP, but then you will truly be out of the vector world all together... but again, good for some things in a pinch.
