Running windows program in linux

Has anybody gotten Wine to run a wargame called Master of Orion II, but I get
trouble when it tries to configure a geometry of 640x480 resolution and dies
with a message that it can't handle the depth.

Because of this, I have tried Bochs, which is an x86 emulator. That will not
run (Segmentation fault) despite tripple-checking and streamlining the
configuration.

Has anybody gotton this game to work in Linux?
