Well, I convinced my company to allow me to load Linux on our backup server.
The fact that Backup Exec on winblows crashed every other time it ran
helped. Anyway, got the tape working fine, but I am wondering what the most
effective tape backup program for linux is. I am playing with bru right
now. I am backing up a windows network and will be using SMB mount (once I
get winnt shares to play nice). Is BRU decent (seems to be), or am I fine
with using tar? Thanks for any insight on this.
