Weird telnet error

hi all,
I have a mandrake 7.2 linux box that I am trying to set up as a bbs using
falken bbs. I went through the install and setup and everything went
fine. When I try to login as the bbs user I get the following error:

login: bbs
Error allocating shared mem struct : 43
Identifier removed: Identifier removed


Anybody ever heard of this error? Any insight?
