Debian Dialup problems

Hi,
Trying to get a dialup connection to an isp using wvdial and having some
problems.
1. got dial tone and sync with modem
2. user and password seem to work
Then there is a message about some DNS servers based on the userid. Then
a prompt:
AS5100>
Then the wvdial sends -- ppp -- but it seems to want an host name or an
ip address.
What IP would this be?

Any help greatly appreciated.
