thanks and a quick q over ioctl errors

thanks for those who helped me with getting my cd burner going. I had
overlooked compiling CD support into my kernel. I think I have it
working now, today will be the test when I write some of my notes and
stuff onto a CD.

Just one more question on ioctl errors. Are they kernel errors? Like I
said, I cannot find much over these errors on the web or usenet
archives.
