You need httpd for the web interface, squid for the web proxy service and
snort shouldn't matter. (I run a smoothwall box if you wish to compare nores,
settings, etc.)
You want squid running. I use transparent option since I have multiple boxes
on my LAN w/ browsers and I don't want to configure them all.
