Mail Server

Can somebody explain why some mail servers will kick a message back with
the "Sender Must Resolve" error but other servers (which I know for sure
in the past have done the same thing) accept the message. The server
that is listed as the origin is in both of my dns servers. Just
wondering if somebody has had this problem before.
