Flash 6, galeon, gnome...no sound

I noticed earlier that Jenny was having the same problem...no sound when
playing flash movies from the web.


It worked on Mandrake 8.2, but when i trashed my laptop (don't ask), i
installed Mandrake 9.0.

Now i've installed Flash 6, but i can only *see* flash movies...no sound
comes out. I've tried this within gnome and within WindowMaker..i've
even invoked galeon from the command line, as the starting galeon from
the icons invokes soundwrapper....

Has anybody seen this and managed to fix it?
