Huh? They announced that Ximian was going to move even more to Free
Software. They might even release the "Ximian Connector" under a Free
Software license.
They did use m$ or Mac to write the press release, though :(.
Novell's CIO has written a few things in favor of Free Software and
mentioned that Novell wanted to release some of their software. I don't
think I've forwarded any of those articles to the list, so I might be the
only one who's seen them :).
I'm not holding my breath, but Novell does seem to be wanting to give back
to the community. I wasn't impressed a couple of years ago when a company I
was with was working with Novell products, but they might've finally clued
in.
Maybe they'll even release SuSE's proprietary stuff under a Free Software
license.
