MythTV

Anyone using MythTV (http://mythtv.org) to build your own Personal Video
Recorder (PVR)? I'm thinking of trying this on a Gentoo Linux box.
Anyone care to comment on it?

It does NOT look like a walk in the park, so any lessons learned would
be appreciated before I head down this path.
