Getting DoSed, what can be done?

I'm wondering if anyone can offer any advice. Over the course of the
night, I've noticed random FTP connection & DNS errors. I just checked
my router log and see if flooded with the following:

Wed Jan 19 00:57:50 2005 1 Blocked by DoS protection 10.49.0.1
Wed Jan 19 00:57:50 2005 1 Blocked by DoS protection 10.49.0.1
Wed Jan 19 00:58:25 2005 1 Blocked by DoS protection 10.49.0.1
Wed Jan 19 00:58:25 2005 1 Blocked by DoS protection 10.49.0.1
Wed Jan 19 00:58:27 2005 1 Blocked by DoS protection 10.49.0.1
Wed Jan 19 00:58:27 2005 1 Blocked by DoS protection 10.49.0.1
Wed Jan 19 00:58:35 2005 1 Blocked by DoS protection 10.49.0.1

Anyone have any recommendations as to what can be done in this case, or
is it just a matter of riding it out? Thanks
