I'm running ntpd on Mandriva LE2005. It is set up to get and keep the time
for the local machine, but is not set up as a server. My problem is that
every once in a while (once every few weeks), it loses track of the time. I
can find no error messages in the logs, and the process is still running and
using a little CPU time in this state. Has anyone seen this, or have any
ideas at all how I could track down the problem?
I don't suspect this is related to the distro but seems to be a problem with
ntpd itself. Any thoughts would be appreciated.
