streaming audio

All,

I have to put on my retard hat today. I am trying to setup a streaming mp3
server and I just do not get it. Does anyone have a real simple tutorial for
doing this? Or can anyone give me a few pointers?

I have read tons of sites on icecast and shout or whatever and it's just not
clicking.
