Tim O'Reilly said something very interesting many years ago. He likened
pirating his books like pirating music - his daughter pirated/downloaded
music, and if she liked it, bought the music. He looks at it like a
progressive tax - the more successful you are, the more you lose to
piracy. Fortunately for me, my employer pays for all the O'Reilly I can
consume.
